ASSET RETIREMENT PROCESS

Step 1 – Planning & Assessment

Before any work begins, the operator conducts environmental

assessments to understand the site's condition and creates a detailed closure plan that outlinesdecommissioning and reclamation procedures.

Step 2 – Decommissioning & Removal

Decommissioning and removal: At the time of closure, complete removal of all surface infrastructure, including buildings, structural steel, and equipment, is removed from the site.

Step 3 - Remediation

The site is cleaned up to remove any environmental contamination that occurred during its operational life.

Step 4 – Reclamation

The physical land is restored by re-contouring the surface to blend with the surrounding landscape, replacing the topsoil and planting native vegetation.

Step 5 – Monitoring & Certification

The site is monitored for a specified period to ensure the restoration is successful. Once all criteria are met, the relevant regulatory body

certifies that the site is fully reclaimed.
